This former model home got a complete remodel to turn the drab lower level into a big-league basement ideal for entertaining. Included in the area is a family room with a natural stone fireplace, a billiards table, wet bar, exercise room, and a fully enclosed home theater with stepped seating and upholstered walls.
A Complete Basement Remodel
All plumbing was relocated to allow the framing modifications, and you’ll find wainscoting throughout the area, adding a distinguished feel to the space. The stone fireplace in the family area is the perfect place to curl up during the cold Virginia winter, and large enough to bathe the room in the soft glow of firelight.
Home Theater
When the family isn’t relaxing in the family room they can unwind in the theater-quality in-home cinema by Berriz Design. Berriz only uses the most advanced technologies when installing in-home theaters to ensure the experience is nothing short of spectacular. The stepped seating guarantees everyone has a panoramic view and the upholstered walls are set up to enhance the acoustics of the room.
The Billiards Room
We designed the billiards area and wet bar specifically with entertaining guests in mind. The billiards room is separated from a distinguished card table by a half-wall, allowing for fluent conversation and interaction with everyone in the room.
The Wet Bar
The wet bar is conveniently and centrally located, making it the ideal place to socialize and watch the TV hidden behind a mirror above the bar. Decorative lamps add to the homey feeling, lighting up the space with bright splashes of artistic flair.
Custom Mahogany Trim
Custom mahogany trim connects every room in this Leesburg finished basement. We replaced all the existing doors and windows with mahogany ones to really set them apart from the rest of the walls. The dark shade of the wood perfectly contrasts the creamy walls and ceilings, adding fantastic depth to this space. It’s impossible to not feel right at home in this relaxing space!
