Bright and Breezy Basement in Oakton, VA
For the Oakton, VA finished basement project we created a bright and cheery escape set with spectacular views of the surrounding forest. The space is the perfect retreat from everyday life, complete with a music room, home theater, and wet bar.
Cool, Muted Colors
The cool, muted colors of the furniture selections give the area a breezy, fresh atmosphere perfect for relaxing after work or spending quality weekend time with the family. We didn’t let anything stand in the way of this customer’s dream space, even underpinning and excavating the existing foundation in order to make the home theater’s ceiling taller and give the illusion of being in a real cinema.
Picture-Perfect Layout
We removed and replaced all the existing framing and completed structural modifications in order to relocate support columns that hindered the picture-perfect layout needed to transform this space. We also remodeled the staircase leading down to this tranquil retreat, matching the cozy décor in all stain-grade wood. The result of our hard work was exquisite.
Enclosed Home Theater
The new basement features an enclosed home theater fit for movie premieres. The theater features plush, stepped seating to ensure unobstructed views and upholstered walls for impeccable surround sound. All of our home theaters are built with the finest technologies and details like décor and viewing angles in mind.
Added Music Room
A unique feature of this basement is the added music room. Perfect for everything from practicing scales to performing magnificent pieces, we designed this section to exactly fit the client’s needs.
Hardwood Cherry Trim
All the trim work in this basement project is done in beautiful cherry. We chose to use cherry for this project because of the unrivaled magnificence brought by the rosy tones of the wood. Cherry is a multi-colored hardwood that darkens with age and exposure to sunlight. As these accents age, they will only grow more distinguished and beautiful, bringing depth and dimension to the rooms.
