In this Oakton, Virginia residence, we remodeled this kitchen by keeping the original layout and completely modernized it. We installed custom cabinetry by Conestoga Wood with granite countertops, appliance garages and inset cabinet doors including decorative inset doors on exposed ends of cabinets.
Custom Cabinetry by Conestoga Wood
Integrated appliances with decorative cabinet panels were made for the refrigerator, two dishwashers, and a wine refrigerator. All of the base cabinets have pull-out trays and all wall cabinets include under cabinet lights and outlets recessed into finished bottom panels. The island also includes glass base cabinets for cook books. We also installed a pantry wall with pull out trays in cabinets and an office center in the middle. A preparation sink with a second dishwasher and a pull out trash center as well as false drawer panels that flip down to reveal outlets were installed into the island for a cooks’ convenience.
Additional Features
We replaced the old stove with a 60” Wolf Range and added a spice pull-out tray nearby, above the range we customized a decorative hood with vent liner and accent tile as well as a niche with accent tile over the range. Throughout this kitchen you will find glass cabinet doors on both sides of the hood, natural stone tile floor in a Versailles pattern, natural stone backsplash in a brick pattern, new recessed lights, new chandeliers, and a new sliding door leading out to a covered patio.
