We placed the path’s flagstones in a modified herringbone pattern for visual interest. The rectangular shapes speak to the brick pattern on the risers of the steps leading up to the porch.

The patio’s coffered ceiling, painted a glossy buff shade, gives the space a polished feel. A complementary ceiling fan keeps things cool. For additional European flair, impressive Ionic columns support the patio’s roof. Massive carved balusters surround the patio and lead down the steps to the landscape.
