Master baths usually are twice as large as hall baths and can therefore cost at least twice as much. Master baths typically start at $50,000 but can go to above $100,000 depending on size and amenities.

How Much Does it Cost to Finish a Basement?
Basements are a great place to expand your Oakton home, but they have one major strike against them: the fact that they are usually either fully or partially below ground, resulting in very little ambient light.
In designing a basement it is important not only to make it not look like a basement, but to finish it at a higher level of finish than the rest of the house, creating an inviting environment.
Our pricing rubric for basement projects is broken into two categories: the base shell and everything that goes into it. Base construction includes all framing, insulation, electrical including switches and outlets, drywall, painting, trim, tile, or hardwood flooring and 15 to 20 recessed lights per 1000 sq. ft. of open area.
Base construction leaves you with a large open canvas in which to add all the amenities you need in a lower level. The base does not include bathrooms or a wet bar, nor the modification of exterior windows and doors. The base can range from $50 to $150+ per sq. ft. of construction depending on the level of finish.
Modification of stairs, which could open the upstairs to the basement or replace the treads can range from $5,000 to $15,000+.
Wet Bar Cost
Now let’s talk about the fun stuff. A walk-up wet bar (a bar up against a wall in which you would serve yourself), can range from $12,000 to $20,000. For a sit-down wet bar, the range is $35,000 to $75,000, depending on the level of finish. This price excludes appliances.
Home Theater Cost
Home theaters can range from $15,000 to over $75,000 in Oakton. Electronics are not included, but we will work directly with an AV team in setting up the space.
Exercise Room Cost
Exercise rooms can add $7,000 to $10,000. This includes wall of glass doors to allow one to view the room from the rest of the basement as well as mirrors along one wall.
Wine Cellar Cost
Wine cellars can range from $35,000 to $100,000+. All of our wine cellars feature fully conditioned space, tri-point lock doors, and custom racking.
Fireplaces can add $8,000 to $13,000, including a stone surround to 5 ft. and flush hearth at low end to stone surround to ceiling and raised hearth.
