Tranquil & Relaxing Master Bath in Oakton, VA
This bathroom was stuck in the 1990s, there was a poor use of space and lighting, which left the bathroom feeling cramped and dark. They approached us with the vision of bringing the bathroom up-to-date and making it into an attractive experience. They wanted a better use of space and a better organization system – especially for the closet.
Up-to-Date Space
To start with, we reconfigured the walls for both the bathroom and the closet in order to attain the use of space we were going for. We framed out new pocket doors, which would even further save space and add simplicity.
New Wood-Like Tile Floor
We replaced the old, boring tile with new wood-like tile floor with built-in heating system to add a layer of comfort to the bathroom experience. After this, we began creating the new and improved shower space.
Custom Tile Work
We added custom tile work with a wall niche and floating bench. We added brand new fixtures to further improve the shower, including a rain shower head, wall-mount shower head, a handheld, and three body sprays.
Frameless Shower Door
Enclosing all of this we installed a frameless shower door. In addition to the shower, we also installed a freestanding, cast iron soaking tub with a floor mount tub faucet. Behind it, we built a floating quartz shelf for convenience.
New Custom Cabinets
Because this was a complete bathroom remodel, we ripped out the old cabinets and installed new custom cabinets with a black finish to add contrast with the lighter finishes in the rest of the bathroom. On top of the cabinets, we installed Cambria Torquay quartz countertop.
